1. We undertake with respect to the Archives that until it is disposed of whether by sale or gift or otherwise: (a) to keep the group as a group, permanently in the United Kingdom and not to remove it temporarily except for a purpose and a period approved by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC); (b) to take reasonable steps for its preservation; (c) to take the following steps to secure reasonable access to the public (i) the group of manuscripts and archives will be on permanent loan to the Lincoln Records Office ("The Records Office") apart from the John Ross Annales Lincolniensis, 1850-1969 which is on loan to Lincoln Public Library ("the Library") (ii) if the loan to the Records Office or the Library is terminated by the Records Office or the Library, we shall agree with HMRC alternative arrangements for providing the public with access to the objects.
